Farnfields is headed up by nine partners who manage the day to day affairs of the business and lead the firm in its future direction.  The partners are:

Susan Lacey:

Senior Partner 

Susan provides management and supervision to a growing department across three offices and has over 26 years of dealing with Private Client matters. She leads her team to provide a holistic approach to private client matters advising on care home fees, protection of assets, tax planning, wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney issues and advising several generations of families on wealth preservation.

Fiona Thomas:

Partner and Head of the Private Client Department

Fiona specialises in Private Client work and has over 17 years experience in this area of work, in particular, inheritance tax planning, the administration of complex estates, the preparation and registration of lasting powers of attorney, the preparation of wills, particularly with complex family and business arrangements and the preparation and administration of trusts.

Sarah Jones:

Partner and Head of the Family Department

Sarah specialises in all aspects of family and children law for both married and unmarried couples, particularly those involving complex assets such as inherited wealth, farms, businesses and foreign property. She also advises on and prepares pre and postnuptial agreements for couples who marry and cohabitation agreements for couples who live together.

Sarah is also an Accredited Specialist with the Resolution Specialist Accreditation Scheme, she is a qualified Resolution family mediator and an accredited mediator with the Family Mediation Council. She is a Professional Practice Consultant who supervises other mediators.  She is also an experienced collaborative lawyer.

Clare Gundry:

Partner and Head of the Residential Property Department

Clare has over 18 years experience in dealing with property matters and acts for country landowners, farmers, property developers, investment buyers and individuals, couples and families.

Julian Alahakoon:

Partner and Head of the Commercial and Agricultural Department

Julian specialises in buying and selling commercial property, advising on commercial landlord and tenant matters, buying and selling businesses and certain aspects of agricultural and land development work. Julian is also one of the few Notary Publics in the area.

Jacqueline Cuff:

Partner and responsible for the Shaftesbury office

Jacqueline has over 15 years’ experience in Private Client work specialising in Wills, Estate Administration, Powers of Attorney Applications, Deputyship Applications and Elderly Client Work.

Lucy Brown:

Partner and responsible for the Gillingham office

Lucy is an experienced Family Law Solicitor and a Law Society Advanced Family Panel Member, Trained Mediator, Collaborative Practitioner and Resolution Accredited Specialist.

Frances Bundy:

Partner and Assistant Head of Department

Frances has over 15 years of experience in dealing with property matters and specialises in all aspects of Residential Conveyancing including Leasehold and Shared Ownership, New build properties, first registrations, adverse possessions, re-mortgages including lifetime/equity release mortgages and transfers of equity.

Samantha Cook:

Partner and New Business Manager
