Far More Golf…
The much-anticipated return of the Farnfields’ annual charity golf day took place on 29 April 2022 at the glorious Rushmore Golf Course in Tollard Royal.26/5/22
23 teams took part alongside many banner and hole sponsors. The weather was wonderful, as was the golf.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Rushmore Golf Course including the green keepers, management, bar staff and chefs for their hospitality and facilities on the day. Thank you to FJ Chalke for arranging the hole in one car (which unfortunately was not won – maybe next year) and to the other businesses who kindly donated generous raffle and blind auction prizes.
Finally, thank you to the team at Farnfields for their efforts to ensure the day went smoothly. We are very pleased to have supported the Shaftesbury Car Link and thank you for your support and help on the day. The funds raised from the day was £2,500 and we know this money will be used by the charity to continue its vital work helping the local community.
In terms of the various competitions running throughout the day, there were individual prizes for those who excelled on the course on various challenges.
The ever-popular mini competition known as the “Yellow Ball Competition” was successfully won by the Glencairn team who successfully navigated this challenging competition.
On to the main competition where, third place went to team FJ Chalke, second place went to team Farnfields and the coveted golf shield and first prize went to Boatwrights. Many congratulations to team Boatwrights!
It was a fantastic day and thank you again to everyone who took part and supported the event. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
If you or your business would be interested in taking part next year whether it would be entering a team, sponsoring a hole and/or donating raffle or blind auction prizes please do not hesitate to contact Julian Alahakoon.
