Farnfields and the Community

Supporting and investing in our local communities is important to our Partners, staff and clients. Our offices are at the heart of the communities we serve. That means we have an understanding of local issues and are able to make a positive difference.

Our sponsorship also extends to supporting local carnivals, pantomimes, schools, fetes and many other activities in nearby towns and villages, including supporting The Save the Drovers Action Group to reopen the Drovers Inn at Gussage All Saints as the hub of the community and setting up the Gillingham Youth Foundation to enable a local youth community hub to remain open.

Every year we raise money for our nominated charity of the year. Our annual golf day event has consistently raised in the region of £2,000 for a range of worthwhile causes – last year we raised money to provide defibrillators in the areas where we have offices and this year we are raising money for Dorset Mind and Wiltshire Mind.

We take great pride in not only contributing to many worthwhile local organisations but also in getting actively involved. Partners and staff are governors of local schools and trustees of local organisations – as well as being members of the local Chambers of Commerce, which help to support businesses on the high streets.

We also seek, as a firm, to employ our staff from the local community wherever possible and support local schools and university students from the area by participating in their work experience initiatives.
