Katie joined Farnfields in 2022 and has a Bachelor of Laws degree and and Criminology degree from Portsmouth University.  Katie is a Private Client solicitor with over 10 years experience specialising in:

  • Wills – preparation of Wills to include setting up Trusts and providing Inheritance Tax Advice
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney – preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney for Property & Financial Affairs and Health & Welfare to include revoking Enduring Powers of Attorney
  • Administration of Trusts – setting up or winding up Trusts
  • Deputyship Applications – preparation and issuing at Court

Some recent examples of her work include:

  • Deputyship – Made a successful application to the Court of Protection for permission to invest the donors funds in such a way as to save inheritance tax

The Private Client Department is headed up by Fiona Thomas who has overall responsibility for the work of the department.

Katie’s interests include paddle boarding, kayaking and cold water swimming.
